About Salt & Cedar Counseling

As a counselor deeply committed to helping individuals and couples navigate their life journeys, I wanted my practice's name to reflect both the healing process and the natural strength found in our environment. Growing up near the coast, the salt air and the cedar trees were constant companions, symbols of resilience and renewal.

Salt has long been revered for its healing properties - capable of cleansing wounds, and preserving health. In many cultures, salt is also a symbol of wisdom and longevity. It represents the idea that through therapeutic work, we can process emotional wounds, preserve our mental well-being, and gain profound insights into our lives.

Cedar trees, on the other hand, are known for their strength and durability. They can withstand harsh conditions and remain steadfast through time. In many traditions, cedar symbolizes protection, wisdom, and spiritual strength. It reminds me of the resilience and inner strength we all possess, even in the face of life's most challenging circumstances.

Combining these two elements, Salt and Cedar Counseling was born. This name embodies the essence of my therapeutic approach: using the wisdom and healing power of therapy to process and renew, while fostering strength and resilience within each client. It signifies a safe haven where individuals and couples can find support, grow stronger, and achieve lasting well-being.

By choosing Salt and Cedar Counseling, you're embarking on a journey towards healing and personal growth, grounded in the natural wisdom and strength symbolized by salt and cedar. Together, we'll work to navigate life's challenges and help you discover expanded ways of being.
