Two Ways to Work Together

I offer therapy in two settings: my private practice and my agency position. Each setting has different billing options, so you can choose the path that best fits your needs. Below is a clear breakdown of both options.

Insurance

Option 1: Private Practice (Hillsboro Location – Private Pay Only)

I accept private pay only at my Tanasbourne (Hillsboro) location and do not work directly with insurance companies. Upon request, I can provide a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Before choosing this option, please check with your insurance provider to see whether they offer out-of-network coverage for mental health services.

Questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Does my plan include mental health benefits?

  • Does my plan include coverage for couples therapy or relationship counseling? If so, does couples counseling require a specific diagnosis or medical necessity to be billed?

  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?

  • Do I need approval from my primary care physician?

  • Can I be reimbursed for services using a Superbill

Option 2: Therapy Through My Agency (Insurance Accepted)

I also work part-time at a local agency where insurance is accepted. If you prefer to use insurance for therapy, this may be a good fit. All insurance billing is processed through the agency according to their policies and contracted rates. I personally complete all screenings, so if you're interested in this route, simply let me know and I can help determine whether your insurance is in-network.

Many clients choose this option when they prefer to use insurance or when out-of-network reimbursement is not available through their plan.
